AARTOS analyses the electromagnetic emissions sent between a drone and the ground controller. It can provide rapid warning of where a drone is and the type. In many instances it is possible to also determine the location of the operator / pilot. Even when deployed as a single receiver, AARTOS can determine the bearing and type of drone. With 2 or more receivers, 3D position and greater accuracy are possible. Through continuous monitoring and automatic parameter adjustment, AARTOS optimises its own performance.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]The detection range is usually at least the greatest distance a drone can operate from its controller. Taking into account factors such as drone type and topography, this range can be up to 50 km or more. The system is scalable to cover more frequencies and further increase accuracy. As new threats are identified, threat database updates are published. This ensures that the system recognises even new threats. AARTOS includes an optional jammer to disrupt the drone’s operating frequency. Due to the accuracy with which AARTOS determines this operating frequency, other RF channels are not affected.
