The ELVIRA® radar

The ELVIRA® radar is explicitly designed for drone detection, classification and tracking.

The hardware and software is optimised for early warning and classification of drones.

ELVIRA® has 360 degree coverage, high reliability and low maintenance. This results in outstanding performance at an affordable price.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]ELVIRA® uses dedicated micro-Doppler analysis to confirm that a target has mechanical propulsion and is a drone. This allows ELVIRA® to classify faster and with fewer false alarms than radars that use techniques such as track behaviour. As a radar sensor the system does not rely on radio signals transmitted by the drone and can detect swarms.

ELVIRA® is effective as a single standalone sensor. In many environments a layered multi-sensor solution is required. OSL’s FACE software integrates ELVIRA® into a multi-radar, multi-spectrum solution. Detection of a confirmed drone results in an alarm. Such alarms are generated in both standalone and integrated modes of operation.

ELVIRA® delivers 24 hour all weather operation. Classification ranges vary with target and environmental factors. The radar works from a standard mains power supply or a mobile 24v DC supply. The main unit is 1000mm high, 900mm wide and weighs 62kg. ELVIRA® operates in a wide range of environmental conditions as summarised below:
